​​Ashley Weckstein is a  Licensed Professional Counselor credentialed by the Oklahoma State Department of Behavioral Health.  Ashley's therapeutic work focuses on children from age three to twelve. 


Ashley completed an additional year of post-graduate play therapy training and has  formal training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. 


In addition to services Ashley provides in office, Ashley also provide on-site therapy services at Frontier Schools.

Meet Your Mental Health Provider

​Ashley completed a Master of Education  at the University of Central Oklahoma in 2010. While working toward her degree, Ashley gained counseling experience as an intern for the Counseling Center at UCO, Centennial Elementary School, and Sante Fe High School in Edmond, OK.  


Following graduation, Ashley worked as a behavioral health rehab specialist, then as a therapist, for Advanced Therapy Associates in Oklahoma City for three years, before accepting a position at CREOKS Behavioral Health Services.  Ashley joined The Play Place in November 2015 and then took over as the full time owner in 2019. 




The Play Place provides screenings for services and accepts clients and/or makes referrals as appropriate.


The Play Place utilizes Client Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) with all new clients and incorporates directive play therapy, family therapy, group therapy, parenting support, and other therapy as appropriate.
